So Brayden has been asking Bob and I when he can get a cell phone. The funny thing about it is he never calls anyone. I think it is just the idea of having a phone.
The other day while Bob and I were out we say this group of kids walking outside getting ready to cross a crosswalk. Two of the girls were talking on their phones, one of the guys was listening to his ipod, and another guys looked like he was texting on his phone. (Seriously!) Bob said, "They are probably texting and talking to each other on their phones." It was ridiculous!
I do not want Brayden to have a phone just to have a phone, however he is now going into middle school and that totally freaks me out. I would like to have some kind of contact with him, in different situations. I told Brayden yesterday that if we got him a phone, it would only used as a SAFETY PRECAUTION and would only be used for certain situations. It was so funny! A few minutes later he came up to me and said," Mom could we look into getting that SAFETY PRECAUTION?"(and had this huge grin on his face)Oh my! Am I really old enough to have a child old enough to want a phone! Seems unreal.

Stella's birthday is in 16 days and just this morning she asked for a "real" phone. She calls lots of people though. She's not getting one.
Crazy isn't it! We have one that is the kids' phone and can be taken when going to friends or riding bikes around the neighborhood. But this year I think it will be mostly Nathans. I think middle school is a good time for them to start having one as a safety precaution.
We miss you guys! Hope all is going well!
Not only does he need a phone, he needs an iPhone. I 100% support you in getting him this iPhone. He is a good boy. He is responsible. He is loving and friendly.
Ok, I think that is all he told me to write. Hope it helps Brayden!!! You can pay me later.
ha ha ha! I love that he even called it a "safety precaution!" Smart kid! You may be old enough to have a middle schooler, but you definitely don't look old enough!
