CHRISTMAS 2008!

Christmas was amazing this year! Our family had planned to go to Sunriver for Christmas, but due to the weather, on the day we were supposed to leave we found out we would not be able to travel on the roads. We explained to the kids the situation and set out in search for a Christmas tree.( I decorated the house but we were going to have our tree in Sunriver) We went at least 10 tree lots, and all were closed, and the trees were frozen. We had almost given up hope in finding one. We drove past a Home Depot and quickly took a peak. They had one little tree sitting all by itself in corner. "We'll take it!" The kids were so exctied and loved that is was just their size. We took it home and I let the kids decorate it however they wanted. ( I am usually so picky about decorating it) It was so cute to see their faces as they admired the end result. Christmas Eve was alittle different. We are so used to having family around but it was just our little family. We watched Polar Express in the Theatre room, had hot cocoa and popcorn. The kids each bought a gift for each other with their own money and they were able to open those. Brayden read a Christmas story and we read from the scriptures. It was so peaceful. I loved it! We tucked the kids into bed and they were so excited! It was so cute to hear their stories on what they thought Santa was doing, and really wondering if he would come. (Brayden is 10 and has figured things out, but was such a good sport and played along for his brother and sister)They woke up at 6:00 and had a wonderful day! We have been so blessed and I am so grateful for all we have! I love my little family!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and we hope this New Year brings lots of joy and happiness your way!
